Join A1 Tours for one of the most anticipated tours of the spring – Cherry Blossom Spring Day in DC! We depart for DC in the morning for a full day in BLOOM!

A trip to DC is never boring and always a fun experience. A visit during Cherry Blossom PEAK is no exception and frankly, a must – at least once in your life!

Cherry Blossom in DC gives way to an absolutely stunning attraction that celebrates the friendship between the United States and Japan. It originated in 1912 as a gift of friendship between the two nations. Thousands of cherry trees around the Tidal Basin bloom every spring, creating striking scenery of pink and white flowers.

The National Cherry Blossoms Festivals take place each year for four weeks. During this time, a range of cultural and artistic activities are on display for the public to enjoy. We will tour the National Mall and the areas around the Tidal Basin to explore and immerse ourselves in this spring paradise of romantic colors and scents. While we explore, we learn the history and significance of this well-known annual event celebrated by so many.

You will visit the Jefferson, Franklin Roosevelt and Martin Luther King memorials which are in the middle of the most beautiful photo spots. With a little help you may hit the perfect shoot – under the tree on the Tidal Basin Path between Roosevelt and Martin Luther King Memorial. -UNFORGETTABLE is an understatement. We also visit Haines Point for a bit of exclusivity away from the main crowd on the mall.

From here, we head towards the wharf for lunch. (lunch not included in the rate) The DC Wharf, formally known as the District Wharf, has been through a multi-million-dollar re-development and now serves as a major DC attraction with residential and office buildings as well as hotels, shops, and parks. It’s also the home of the city’s historic fish market and has a wide variety of restaurants and dining options to offer. Take a walk on the pier or visit one of the bars - perfect for a cheeky afternoon drink in the spring sun! (A1 Tours can assist with lunch reservations if needed – subject to availability)

After lunch, we will re-group and continue our touring of the city in BLOOM; before we board the coach for transfer back home.

This is the perfect day trip for families and/or friends. As spring typically arrives in DC earlier than New Jersey & Pennsylvania, this gives you an excellent opportunity to extend the spring!

If you are unable to attend the rescheduled dates, you will receive a full refund.
